This morning, we decided to take a route through some of the most representative museums in Malaga, making sure we could ride our bikes to each one of them.
We started from Ebike Malaga, located in the Soho area of Malaga, C/ Casas de Campo, 2 - with some perfect electric bikes for the occasion.
We left Soho, crossed the main avenue, and joined the bike lane heading east until reaching the Plaza de la Aduana, where we found monuments such as the Roman Theatre and the Alcazaba, which can also be seen during the tour offered by the bike rental company.
Once we arrived at the Plaza de la Aduana, we headed to the museum, located right in the square, and visited its galleries and common areas completely free of charge.
After leaving the Museo de la Aduana, we cycled towards MUPAM, Paseo de Reding, 1.
This route also allowed us to see landmarks such as the Bank of Spain, the City Hall, and again the Bank of Spain, all located next to each other in sequence.
When we arrived, we also entered for free, and the visit allowed us to explore both the monumental and artistic heritage of the city of Malaga.
This route took us less than a minute, as they are located right across from each other — which seemed perfect for a breakfast stop at Bar Flor, located just in front of the Cultural Centre of La Malagueta.
The La Malagueta Cultural Centre offers exhibitions approximately every six months. It aims to present a diverse range of themes, making it a perfect destination to visit regularly. It is also located inside the bullring, which makes it even more charming and interesting to see.
After finishing our visit to La Malagueta Cultural Centre, we took the bikes towards Centre Pompidou, our last stop before returning to the shop.
This route allowed us to see part of the seafront promenade and enjoy Muelle Uno, an area near the port full of shops, restaurants, and private yachts — perfect for a short stroll before entering the museum.
The entrance fee is 9 euros during the week, and free on Sundays from 4 p.m. onwards.
In this exhibition, we had the chance to enjoy contemporary and interactive art, which made the visit super fun and engaging — perfect for children!
From the Pompidou, we took the Palmeral de las Sorpresas bike lane straight back to the shop, which was perfect for us since, when we checked the bike’s battery, we were surprised to see it was still almost full! We were welcomed back with a smile and super friendly service.
A spectacular day for cycling and a highly recommended route to do with family, friends, or your partner.
