Montes de Málaga Natural Park
Looking for a beautiful day in nature on an electric bike? Here's one of our favourite self-guided routes that takes you into the heart of the Montes de Málaga Natural Park. It is a circular route that starts and ends right at our shop in the centre of Málaga.
We suggest starting by heading north, following the Guadalmedina riverbed. You'll pass the Rosaleda football stadium and ride out of the city, with a nice view of the Botanical Garden of La Concepción on your left.
Once you reach the entrance to the natural park, you will follow the Picapedreros path near the San Telmo Aqueduct. From here, the climb begin, but the views of the city and surrounding mountains make it well worth the effort.
Continue through forested paths toward Hotel Humaina and stop at the El Cerrado recreational area to take a break. When you're ready, keep going up to the Vázquez Sell viewpoint, it is one of the most breathtaking panoramas in the region.
From there, follow the Camino de Contadoras to reach Fuente de la Reina, the highest point of the ride. On the way back, we recommend a short detour to the Mirador del Cochino, another fantastic viewpoint.
Before returning to the city, why not stop at Venta El Mijeño? It is a traditional mountain restaurant where you can enjoy a drink or a local dish with great views.
