Cueva Del Tesoro

Posted by Senne & Marina

With the beautiful sunny days returning to Málaga, we’ve taken the chance to get back on the road.
We set off for Rincón de la Victoria, a spectacular coastal town on the Costa del Sol that offers a surfer vibe, sun, and beach.

This route is perfect for those seeking a journey full of history, nature, and breathtaking views of the Mediterranean — all with the comfort of an electric bike.

We took the opportunity to visit two hidden gems along the way: Cueva del Tesoro and Villa Antiopa.

On the way to Rincón, we stopped at Cueva del Tesoro, our first stop of the day.
One of the few marine-origin caves in the world and the only one you can visit in Europe.
Its history is wrapped in mystery: from legends of hidden treasures left by Templars or Moors to its use as a prehistoric shelter.

Entering the cave feels like traveling through time.
Its underground lakes, rock formations, and water-carved chambers create a magical atmosphere that makes this visit unforgettable.
Thanks to the e-bike, we arrived effortlessly and with plenty of energy to explore every corner of this incredible place.

After this amazing experience, we continued our journey to Rincón de la Victoria, where we stopped to recharge at one of the many seaside chiringuitos.
To reach Rincón, you pass through one of the most beautiful sections of Málaga’s Coastal Path, including tunnels from an old railway line and stunning cliffside views.

Once we regained our energy, it was worth continuing to Villa Antiopa, a Roman archaeological site in Torre de Benagalbón, right by the Mediterranean Sea, dating from the late 3rd to early 4th century AD.
A true journey into the past, this site lets us experience Roman life through preserved architecture, ceramics, and 13 unique mosaics of great value, along with other historic artifacts.

A unique experience where you can see, hear, touch, taste, and even smell history — combining traditional museum elements with cutting-edge technology for a fully immersive visit.

What makes this route truly special is the way back.
The sun setting behind the city of Málaga creates a magical moment and a whole new, unforgettable image of the city.
